An appeal to all you IT types in RRS land. I would like to join the world of mobile internet and gaming by buying a laptop. Trouble is I have little idea what I should specify and where I should look. My home PC is about 4 years old now and feels it, so time for an upgrade. Ideally I would like a machine that can play computer games (most of which won't run on my existing PC for want of a modern graphic card), can access the internet remotely (wirelessly) and which we can use to watch DVD's and store video's taken on our camera.

Dell is always a good choice - love em or hate em, they laptops normally a good quality - alternatively go for HP - I've been buying HP now for the last 12 months and am starting to like them (build quality / performance and price)

Smarticus go for Apple MacBook Pro or Mac Air . I have MBP now for more than one year and half and I have to tell you it is a perfect laptop. You can run MacOS or Windows and has a very good graphics also price |

MAC Air doesn't have a DVD drive though with the unit.....I use a Mac Book Pro - bit I agree with whoever said the Asus unit - best in business - away from Mac - your spec on the Dell is fine too... |
