Towing nose weight

Towing . What is the recomended nose (ball) weight for the RRS ? Ive been told 2 figures 150Kg (which seems low) and 250 Kg .Ive been told that the nose weight should be aprox 10 % of the weight of the trailer for safe towing so for a car with 3500 Kg brasked towing capacity 150 Kg nose weight seems rather low ??
Thank you experts

150Kg is the maximum in the UK legally unless you are a commercial, it isn't really a measure of what the car can handle. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

So the trunk is a boot, the hood a bonnet, and the tounge a nose?

The nose is the weight of the end of the trailer, not a part of the car Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

doesn't the Government in Australia have to its own tests on the towbar?

I recall the FL2 towbar having to go through rigorous test to make sure it met there standards

Maybe they also say they maximum rating in the results they published

Yes, I'm sure they do.
That's why the towbar, tongue etc. sold by LR Australia is different from what you would get in the UK. Malaysia Boleh!

It's all in the owners manual. There's one set of figures/recommendations for Australia and one set for the rest of the world

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Arctic Frost

The Nose weight quoted in the manual isn't a measure of strength either, LR ads have shown a D3 hanging off its towball.... Cheers
