steering wheel issue

Hey guys thanks for reading my post. My query regards the steering wheel of the my new RR sport 3.0. Just to put things in perspective, this is my fourth RR over the past 20 years so I'd like to consider myself as a pretty experienced 4x4 driver (however friends may beg to differ but each to their own Smile ).

Having been used to driving old 1980s and late 1990s RR models, where the steering wheel was nice and stiff, yet light enough to be able to corner the beast I was driving, particularly on tight bends on the mountains, I was pretty surprised when I took the RR sport for a drive. This is because I found the wheel far too light, very easy to turn and not stiff enough.

Is this because I'm so used to the previous models' driving or is there something I can do to change this?

Thanks very much and sorry if this a stupid question

andikos, are the tyre pressures correct? (dealers have been known to send them out with tyre pressures miles too high Whistle ). I've not found the steering very light on the ones I've driven TBH. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

I agree totally having had LR's for 10 years and still owning a FL1 - the steering is far too light but you get used to it and adapt your driving style. Thumbs Up

I would prefer it stiffer - the steering wheel that is Rolling Eyes

My concern would be avoiding an emergency you may pull the wheel too hard and lose control/overturn Shocked
