Thanks Dave. Viscous fans are usually LH thread, so i was prepared for that. I have the new unit now, so i just need to fathom my route in to remove the old one.

The alternator has died on my 2005 RRS. I have arranged supply of a new unit, but looking at the job, access is a bit tricky.

Just picking up on the timing case question. I have a 2005 2.7V6. I am preparing to do the cambelts shortly, but is the housing ok on these earlier engines?
