you would be best to Edit the title in your original thread
change the (for sale) inside the brackets to (Sold) in brackets it then alters how the title looks as its greyed out words.

you can also "edit" the title again when you sell and change the words in the brackets to Sold ... |

It will Fail an MoT IF it can be seen to be blanked, leave pipes in place and engine cover on and it can not be seen.
If rules change in future who knows !
