I have an independent filling station in the village which I have NEVER used, they are 8-10p a litre more expensive than driving 16 miles into town and buying from a BP or Shell filling station. The garage in the next village sells "Highland" fuels and even though diesel is 87.5ppl in town they are 99.0ppl! As this place is also the local blacksmith and farm equipment engineer they don't worry about what they charge the general public as most of their fuel sales go onto farm accounts. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

We have an independent up the road from us and again, the prices are sky high. I suppose they don't do enough business to enable them to keep themselves competitive. I don't think they are bothered - most of their revenue comes from the garage/bodyshop.
