Who do you buy your fuel from?

Here's a poll to see who we usually buy our fuel from. If I've missed a suplier just reply on this thread and I will add the option. Once you have voted you will not be able to change it. This is for the UK only. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I only buy Diesel from BP - less smoke

I only buy Petrol from Shell - optimax - best performance.

Unless I 'm really low then I'd buy filtered dung if it will work

Always buy diesel as the cars won't run on petrol!! VA maybe the header should be where do you buy your fuel................ just nitpicking.
The only place other than a supermarket that I remember having a fill up at is the Esso filling station in Lyndhurst in the New Forest - it's part of a large Peugeot dealership. Even when I'm away from home I use a supermarket.
Round here there can be up to 3p a litre difference between the "Branded" filling stations and the supermarkets, in favour of the supermarkets and as I run the tank right down to the last 10 ltr or so then those 3-4p's count and as it is usually Sainsbury's I get loadsa Nectar points too! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I remember fondly picking a friend of mine up on the way to the petrol station. On the way back I was a little late so it was nice to gun it along the M40. Just how fast was a bit silly Michael Potter

We'll understand if you tell us how low you managed to get the mpg on the trip!

Years ago a friend of mine ran a Ford Granada 2.8 Ghia Estate... when you floored the loud pedal the instantaneous consumption would plummet to 2mpg! Fortunately he had a company fuel account! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

typically don't have a choice since fuel is running out faster than
expected, so whatever is next.....

but normally SHELL, the guy working at the petrol station is calling me
by my firstname since we have two heavy petrol burners and are
'frequent refiller' there.

Well...I know when I floor it my little needle under the rev counter dissapears

I dont remember the consumption exactly. But at best my average consumption in the car is 16mpg.
I dont have a company fuel account unfortunately. Whilst my petrol bills may not be as monstrous for some of you S/C chaps it sits at around £240 a month. Michael Potter
