You're presuming that everyone modifies their cars for the benefit of others. When I had mine, I changed the grille and vents (altho I didn't do the badges) so that I would think my car looked good. I didn't do it so other people could say "Oh look, he's changed some bits!" - I wouldn't expect anyone else to notice unless they were part of this forum, for example |

I would think its more about personal satisfaction than anything else. The joy one gets when they step outside with the key in hand look at the car and get that satisfying feeling wether it be badges wheels colour coding or anything else. |

while picking up my RRS at the dealers paid close attention to the looks of an SC and a NA RRS. The difference that I was able to spot was that on an SC the grille was of darker color (Rhodium?). And (YESSSS!) the badges were black.
