R & S are the ones who LR quoted me a high premium with, but are also the same insurer that Adrian Flux placed me with when i went with them Confused

Its all down to what rates the company can get with insurer i suppose (and a little bit on the cover)

Well you will go and buy these flash powerful cars, got to pay the price somewhere down the line! Just think if you owned a 1.4l Honda Civic with a Max Power body kit and oversized wheels you would probably only be paying 2/6d a year (12.5p in new money for those that cannot remember that far back!) High renewal premiums are partly caused by insurance companies believing an existing customer will just renew and stay with them, as a result they try to up your premium.

If you approach them for a quote as if you were a new customer (even if already insured with them) they will genrally charge new customers less to get the business. I have done this with my previous D3 with Norwich Union Direct and cut my premium by £150.

Clearly it is a mistake to remain loyal to one insurance company.

Land Rover insurance for a company car.

Well my car has arrived at the dealers and should be ready for pick up on Friday, just 1 last thing to sort out now and that is insurance.
No problem, after reading about LR Insurance on here they are my 1st port of call.
Well seemingly for some reason that they won't explain, they won't insure the car as I want my business partner as a named driver in addition to my wife, how bizarre is that.
Now I thought this must be a mistake so I've rung back 3 times in total and as a last resort got the dealers Business Manager to double check as he thought it was strange too and it's confirmed.
I've also checked with NFU and seemingly they don't do cover for business cars so up to now my best quote is from Allianz, unless you know differently????

Correct, just googled VA insurance and yes its Liverpool Victoria, unfortunately they won't cover anything with alloy wheels unless you take them off and lock them up at night Rolling with laughter MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
