See where you're coming from Kaine... it does lend itself to modification. As we know there are good ways and bad ways to do this. I think the RRS ownership sector is still a cut above the usual Max Power crowd though. I don't see anyone has manufactured blue neon strips to fit under the windscreen or side sills yet Wink

I should add that I do think a lot of the modifications do look very good - at least the majority of RRS owners have good taste - its just interesting how many change things. Remember I was guilty of this too, by putting S/C grills on mine

I still love this. Respray, wheels, kit and exhaust (and I presume the engine mod too). A lot of mods, but still very tasteful.

I agree - floating roof design is kept, plus keeps standard lights works very well

The whole design of the RRS centres on the floating roof idea, to colour code the car ruins the design concept (Excludes black obviously) I always thought that when the RRS came of a certain age the type of owner would change and change their cars. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I suppose in that respect, it's been a victim of it's own success really. It's opened up LR ownership to a whole new sector... that would have normally been occupied by X5, ML, Pig owners.

Certainly was Thumbs Up

The same ethos is obviously continuing into the LRX. Seems LR have decided that their products aren't just for people with mud on their shoes any longer. I wonder if Tata will allow the current strategy to continue?

I think people just want to enhance their vehicles, imho adding a S/S exhaust, Stormer alloys and swapping grills/vents and badges adds to the look of the car, you would think L/R would by now offer all the above as a upgrade pack. Hopefully any changes are in keeping with the ethos of the Sport Tourer, i.e clean quality parts, Speed Limits! not where I live!

LR's attempt at that is of course the... *drumroll*... HST Shocked

I suppose LR haven't got so far down this line that they're going to form a partnership with someone like BMW do with Alpina or Merc with AMG. Would be good to see though... but then who?
