Bluetooth & DVD Update?

hi guys,

does anyone know how i can find out what version of Bluetooth & DVD Navigation i am using?

part of my 'deal' when picking up my RRS was for the dealer to update both the DVD and Bluetooth to the latest version... anyway i can check they have done this?

Thanks in advance,

You can obviously physically check the part number of the DVD itself, simply by ejecting it and having a look. I'm not sure how you can check the version of the onboard system.... there might be a code for it. Others may know off the top of their heads.

Sat Nav
Onboard firmware gets updated with the new disc. Check latest product number on this site with the number printed on the CD.

Bluetooth
God knows how to check for the latest update there. For me, test if an iphone automatically connects. If it does, probably the latest module. 2022 P440e AB

am i right in assuming the DVD unit for Sat Nat is under the passenger seat?

iPhone connects, ie. pairs using 2121... is the real test achieved by using the phone via the radio keys/steering wheel and making a call (without touching the iphone after you enter the vehicle)? Haven't tried the 'real test' yet as i setup the phone and then went for a long drive.... I'll see what happens tonight RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys. (+ 19" MTR's for playing in the snow!)

Yup

Real test is when you leave the car (for some time) and come back to it and whether or not the iphone automagically connects. So, yeah, if you can dial using the console buttons etc. Just push the power button. Above right of the right hand side knob on the radio. It should say Phone Connected if it is.

Mine most often did not. Although it did sometimes (until the module was updated - no connects every time). 2022 P440e AB

no luck... entered the car last night, and nothing. un-paired & re-paired, and it works again.

sounds like the cheeky Censored haven't updated the bluetooth.

I have seen from previous posts, the bluetooth upgrade is more likely hardware, rather than firmware. Any idea where this new bit of kit is... hopefully might have some serial numbers on the outside i can check? RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys.
