Apparently my dealer should receive the valve on Tuesday, fingers crossed.

I hope that will be it then and this EGR problem is not something which will reoccurr. It should not have happened in the first place anyway

My Dealer said there was no error logged in the diagnostics but that they were aware of problems with sticky EGR valves so they had cleaned and lubed it just incase. Seems to have done the trick - got the car back and it's going like a dream

I also had a few other small problems as well as the 15k service to be done:-

Sat Nav dimming erratically and flickering - They carried out some sort of reset which apparantly involves shorting 2 wires together BUT, once again seems to have done the trick no repeat of problem since. Maybe these LR Mechanics get lessons in Voodoo or something

Drivers side rear door handle paint flaking off - Door handle replace under warranty.

Sat Nav and phone / radio hanging sometimes - updated software under warranty - again, all fixed

Fran Ogg & Son of Elgin are the dealer - Good Job Boys

I also have to commend them on traveling 70 miles to collect my car, leaving me a free courtasy car (even if it was a bloomin' Peugot ) and then traveling another 70 miles to return my car fully washed and cleaned inside and out, all in the same day! They even left me a 1litre bottle of oil & a bottle of LR concentrated screen wash in the boot. Brilliant Service!! Total Cost to me £290.44 inc VAT

Probably not, Tim, but I do not even bother to ask them. What I have asked for is a loaner car for free until mine can be fixed but they have to get back to LR Switzerland first to find out whether it's paid for or not.

Main problem is that the majority of LR dealers over here are real crap.

My one is booked in for tomorrow , I think its been a little over 3 weeks off the road.

The dealer cant be blamed for this as its a parts issue from LR, and to be honest my dealer has been really decent and given me a discovery.

Roland, my advice get a loan car gives LR an incentive to find some parts for yours as this is backcharged to them!

Replaced EGR valves in my car a few weeks ago after a yellow warning light appeared on the dash. Dealer did the job as warranty work. Sorry to say the lag is still the same as before, no improvement at all. However, the yellow light problem is solved.
