TDV8 HST??

My dealer has offered me a new TDV8 'HST' production slot rather than the HSE with extras that I told them I was interested in. He informs me that the HST has all the extras that I want (stormer alloys, sunroof, logic 7, etc) for much the same price but with extra HST kit. I thought the HST was petrol only but he is adamant that it is a genuine diesel V8 HST. Does anyone know if this is now a new option or am I being led up the garden path?? Neutral

Welcome to the forum Very Happy

Yes you can get the HST with the TDV8 but looking on the LR site the toy's your after are options so unless they have been specked they wont be on the car?

Don't know if this is up to date?

ive been doing my home work as i love the hst
list for the hst is £63k with logic 7 sunroof but just the 20in 10 spoke wheels
the hse is £53 plus the logic 7 £1k and sunroof £895
so far to much to pay extra when you can buy the hst kit for £3300.00

Welcome KWS... I wonder if the dealer is offering you this slot (out of the kindness of his heart, of course Rolling Eyes ) to get rid of it.

Just to clarify the position from a dealership perspective, HST's were and are in huge demand. Some of the posts on the forum give the impresssion that there were / are problematic to sell, which I assure you is definately not the case. Dealers were fighting to own the last few from the 2007 production run!!

Thanks for the steer. I am still undecided at this stage as both my wife and I aren't convinced by the apparent 'concrete block' styling of the HST front (the rest of the styling looks great) but I assume that residuals would be higher for a standard HST than a HSE with equivelant options. The HST package seems a good one - if only I could get the HSE/SC front bumper/grill on it! Smile

Does anyone know where I can see a clear front view of the HST? I can't seem to find one on the LR site.
