If the phone is not connected to the PTI, how do you make the bluetooth connection during the call?

If it is already paired, I can see that you can choose phone, speaker or Land Rover. But there is no such option if not already paired. Pairing is the issue right?

Thanks for your link to the LR site on compatible phones. Older VINS then look compatible, just not with the phone book. That is not correct (at least for some people on here). The phone does not always connect automatically. 2022 P440e AB

Asked my local LR service dept today about a pti upgrade, he responded "don't think we can do that, but i'll look into it".
When mine is paired and I call someone, it gives me the choice on the iphone screen of speaker, landrover or phone. I'm on the latest iphone software and I still have to pair it if the phone has been turned off or charged, even though the phone says it's paired.

James,

I see there are now two different approved phones list... are the VIN numbers split across model years? e.g. one doc is for pre-MY08 and the other is for post-MY08? Question

I've just tried to find if the change was at a specific MY change (i.e 07 to 08 or 08 to 08.5), but can't find an exact answer. It would be my guess though that this is the case. If I get a chance I'll try pairing to a 07my and see what happens.

Thanks mate Thumbs Up It would obviously be a lot easier when folks ask about compatibility to not have to ask for the VIN number Wink

The iphone shows as compatible in both VIN types though.
Just the older one without the phonebook.

This is not the case. There are many whom have to manually pair each time the iphone is connected. 2022 P440e AB

A solution to this would be fantastic either by a iphone update or a pti update. The iphone is the best phone i've ever had, still can't put it down and i've had it since before xmas, just find it frustrating having to pair it all the time. Seems that quite a few of us have the iphone on here.

I have just had my bluetooth updated (a 55 car).

Have tried to connect 4 times and 100% success for automatic iphone pairing.

Did the phonebook work with it? Have you tried connecting after turning the phone off or the following day? Which dealer did the upgrade as Hunters Norwich said they didn't know how to do the upgrade and couldn't find anything about it. Maybe if I get them to call your dealer, they could shed some light on it for them, did you have a contact name in the service dept?
Help appreciated Thumbs Up

When/if(?) you access the phone book by pushing the power button then selecting the phone book by rotating the right hand dial, the screen says memory empty.... SO I guess that doesn't work.

Have not tried the following day yet. Will report back in tomorrow.

Re the upgrade, I think it is a firmware thing (not a hardware upgrade). So must be attaching a laptop and upgrade.....

Dealer was Town and County Aberdeen. 2022 P440e AB

I clarified what the work was with the dealer. I am told that it was a module replacement......That doesn't sound like a firmware upgrade to me. That said, the phone book does not work (unless I'm using it wrong or I have to enable something on the iphone.

iphone is working flawlessy now. Auto pairing. Both of our iphones (one on firmware 1.1.2 and the other on 1.1.3 (although not at the same time I assume). 2022 P440e AB
