Tomorrow my RRS V6 diesel HSE goes in for its first service so I had a quick ring round to see what my local dealers would charge, as expected prices vary greatly results are as follows
Williams Manchester £294.50
Guy Salmon Stockport £351.00
Guy Salmon knutsford £280.00
Charles Hurst London £381.00 all though they are miles away from me I thought I would give them a ring because they post on this forum and I thought they would be a good bench mark, sadly it took me ages to get through to service and eventually ended back at reception when I finaly got through and queried the cost I was told that wage rates are higher in London and they could not move on that price, I can accept that their is a difference but not that much. Is it possible that Land Rover accept higher labour rates on warranty work in London than in other counties, I think not ,I would imagine that there is a set time allowance and cost for warranty work I wait to be corrected, if this is the case why should we the customer pay more for our servicing than other areas. So needless to say my car goes to Guy Salmon Knutsford in the morning, I will let you all know how things go upon it's return. I did post a query in this section some months ago regarding the Knutsford branch but had no replies so may be I am the first from the forum to use them, will keep you posted, but it does seem checking around is worthwhile RRS HSE, Java Black,Black Leather

Dropped my car off at 08:30 today and had a call at 1pm. I guss they didnt start it immediately so no more than 4 hours including the wash
