Crackling and disconnecting Bluetooth

Not sure why but having the following problem.

I use a Sony Ericsson K600i phone and it mates perfectly well with the Bluetooth in the RRS. During a call, and after a few mins, the quality degrades and almost starts to crackle. Then, the connection is lost and the phone says Disconnected.

So, why is the RRS Bluetooth disconnecting my phone? Could it be possible I'm next to another car who's using Bluetooth and it's interferring with mine?

Very annoying.... I don't have this problem with other bluetooth devices with the K600i, just the RRS.

Cheers

Tony

Not sure about in the APAC market, but in the UK it's only the T610/630 that are approved Sony Ericsson phones. Not to say others won't work of course, but if you took the problem to LR they'd probably just tell you to replace the phone... Have you tried updating the phone's software revision? That might get you nearer some stability.

i use a sony ericsson k750i with mine.
it connects perfectly and the calls are absolutely fine so far,
although have noticed when driving along it says phone disconnected on the display randomly, but so far its not caused me any problems, it seems to reconnect itself after a short while..

I use the w800i and I have no problems also. I do notice that the phone randomly displays phone disconnected sometimes but a few seconds late it will say phone attached.

that's the same problem i'm having but the disconnection is sometimes happening when i'm on the phone. so why is it disconnecting? is there a battery saving mode in ericsson phones that cuts this off? is there maybe an update to the bluetooth software for the RRS?

turned off the bluetooth power save mode on my phone and no more problems. i figured out what was happening: whenever another car with bluetooth came nearby, my phone would get confused between the RRS and the other signal. by turning off the power save mode the phone allows multiple bluetooth signals without interrupting the connected one.
