To be honest we try to discourage "sheds on trailers" turning up as we try to be a family orientated club and that chap tends to tear around the place like a bit of a loony, not what you want when you've got kids and nice shiny vehicles like VA's knocking about the place. That said, he did manage to keep his enthusiasm under control on Sunday and it's amazing where an SJ will go due to the weight advantage.

I have just left one of the Scottish Offroad clubs (along with about 20 others)for just this reason Fridge. A bunch of "lads" with tricked up Suzi's who's idea of a good day out was to do as much damage to their own vehicles as they could and to tear up as much of the countryside with spinning wheels as they could in 6 hours moved in, became committee members and now are pleading with members for suggestions as to where to go as the club is now unwelcome at many of the offroad centres up here.......................................... The crunch came when one of these guys put his Suzi onto some very weird steroids as one weekend it became an ex Danish Army Volvo 6x6 offroad lorry totally unsuitable for the terrain we drove on.
Basher16 who occassionally posts his events here formed a small club for those who wanted something other than driving round and round a large site all day and formed the Argyll 4x4 Club and we now have 1000 acres of forest, hillsides and peat bogs to play in courtesy of Forest Enterprise. Things have returned to sanity and as the club is small we can "vet" people very easily, any stupid games and you don't get invited top join in again!
And because the site is so big some of us go up to drive it on the day before the get together to see which special sections should NOT be driven as they are become to damaged or we repair and rebuild them ourselves - it's much more rewarding and you really feel as if you have achieved something as this is open hillsides and forests with more trails than we could ever do in a weekend to find and play on. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Happily that nice chap Steve Taylor from Total Off Road was there and seems to have pepparami'd your RRS and got some rather cool shots. It's worth pointing out that if you want a BIG copy to get a decent print he'll happily sort you one out for some beer money.
