United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
How do you value a pre-owned RRS?

I have just been reading through today's Sunday Times Driving section classified ads for Range Rover and it is quite amazing to see the values some folks feel their cars are worth and the span of prices.

Here are a selection:

S/C with 4500 miles, Black with "cream" leather for £63000

Sport 1st Edition 06 model year registered in 09/05 (so it's an 05 MY as far as I know there are no 06MY 1st editions as all UK 1st Eds were sold out before the launch!!) in silver /ebony leather with dvd and towpack 850 miles for £59950. (Reasonable if it is an 05 1st Ed I suppose.)

Sport 1st Ed, Black with black leather, 4600 miles £57995

Sport TDv6 (S?,SE?? or HSE??? but I suspect it's an S) Black with Alpacca leather, 18" wheels, premium stereo,PDC, Side steps, 8000 miles - yours for a mere £35995.

Sport HSE (no engine type stated) 05/55, del miles, silver with black leather, nav,sr privacy, £46950

Sport 2.7 TDV6 HSE Black/Black, phone,sunroof,privacy,UK car,£48995
mileage not stated.

The Dealers Bramley in Guildford are offering this one on their website (www.bramley.com)
005 05Range Rover Sport V8 4.2 Supercharged First Edition, Metallic Silver, Black Hide, Black Wood, 6-speed Automatic with Comand Shift, Auto Climate Control, Electric Front Seats with Drivers Memory, Premium Navigation, Integrated Telephone System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Electric Sunroof, Bi-Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Cold Climate Pack, Rain Sensing Wipers, Auto-Dim Mirror, Cool Box, Brembo Brakes, Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Hi-Fi, CD Changer, DVD Entertainment, 20” Alloy Wheels 1,000 Miles
£62,995.00

It would appear that some folks seem to think they have a "rare" or difficult to obtain car!

But then again you could buy a truely rare car from Bramley:

2005 55 Ford GT UK Supplied, Mark ll Black Clearcoat Paintwork with Painted Silver Over-Roof Stripes, Black Hide, Supercharged, 550bhp, 6-Speed Manual, PAS, Air Conditioning, 18” Front & 19” Rear BBS Painted Forged Lightweight Aluminium Wheels, 3yrs Manufacturers Warranty, 27 Miles - £159,995

Surely somebody cannot be tired of it after only 27 miles Shocked A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

TDv8 HSE - Stornoway Grey with ebony and straight grain walnut wood-a-like interior with towpack, Tasmods. The best car I have ever owned
Now departed - Giverny Green TDv6SE with Aspen and Parchment interior - nearly the best car I have ever owned
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road
