Ah ha... I see what you mean now. This seems to be a Porsche style as I have seen them on 911's It also resembles those pipes offered by Overfinch.

Still like the square ones - would suit the RRS in so much as sticking with LR's square styling of the sport and bigger RR Confused

Agree there & it would take a lot more than a decent exhaust to make the Porker look anything other than an ugly pig. HSE TD6 (Java Black/Ivory)

I don't believe I'm actually about to say this in public but the topmost of the two Cayenne's in MDP's post actually.... looks.... quite.....good!

Oh my god, what am I saying... it's still a Cayenne!!! ARGH!!! Laughing Laughing

Both square and rounded pipes look gorgeous though... very nice! More of this please, Land Rover! Rolling Eyes

Looks to me like it's been lowered, which would certainly improve the look, but if you're gonna do that, put huge great expensive alloys on it, a fancy exhaust....it's becoming even more impractical for off-road...& you might just as well buy the real thing IE: a 911 Turbo, which is a 4x4 anyhow! At least you won;t get laughed at quite as much Very Happy HSE TD6 (Java Black/Ivory)

I suppose it's going to appeal to those who maybe don't ever see themselves going off road, but at least being able to take a trip to Ikea every now and again. Valid point, though.. Very Happy

I have not had the opportunity to really push my sport. Everytime I want to I look around and see a police car. I really need a radar detector for Christmas.

It's funny I hear that argument put forward by people defending the Cayenne Turbo, but the reality is that for a little more money you can get the best 4x4xfar (RRS) new and with the change still buy yourself a serious sportscar (911) that's a couple of years old. No compromising & no silly laughs! HSE TD6 (Java Black/Ivory)

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Have you looked at the back of Vauxhalls, Renaults, Bedford Vans, Tranny Vans, Ford Focuses and Hondas - they are all getting flushed in square or triangular tailpipes..... It's also the mod of the month for all the little boys in their Max Power Corsas, Saxos C2 GTs and Pug106's. I think all you guys just want to join the crowd ..............Laughing

Anyway a sticky out exhaust, whatever shape, is one of the first things you will knacker if you take your car offroad and have to "shunt" to get out of a muddy hole or boggy bit. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

7.1 for big RR and 7.2 for the Sport

strange, even though it loses out by 10bhp the sport does have a better cod.

Coefficient of drag 0.37 Cd for the sport as opposed to 0.39 for the RR Confused

not keen myself on the squared off look ever since the Vauxhall Vectra had them on their 1.8 something or other bland-mobile.

Big fat oval pipes would look MUCH better such as these examples...

Or these fire breathing DTM look ones...

JE Engineering are developing a "sports" exhaust for the RRS with some really nice looking quad oval tailpipes.
They were on the owner's S/C when I went in last week.
I'll try to get some pictures next time I'm there.
