2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I'm so disappointed with the LR PTI in the new car that I will be having another Parrot system fitted soon, it worked faultlessly with any phone (and could handle up to 5 phones simultaneously!)and downloaded the entire contents of the address book every time, it is also dead easy to set up the voice recognition system on it and it will read multiple entires for the same contact. I think LR would do well to drop the Nokia system and go for something more flexible. The Parrot was fully integrated with the steering wheel controls and the audio as well.
I note from the Nokia and RIM/Blackberry websites that Nokia are now using the Blackberry software for more of their upmarket phones 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

It seems to be independent of phone manufacturer though, Tim... it doesn't work 100% well with even Nokia phones. I suppose it all depends on what you want from integrating your car with your phone. I got round the multiple contact entries problem simply by selecting from the phone handset - not strictly legal I appreciate, but it saved me the cost of a third party system and installation Wink

I wonder though, if the likes of Parrot aren't missing a trick by licensing their technology to car mfrs.

This is where I miss the system in my MG, it reads the whole phone book and also displays the SMS messages on the sat nav screen. It also has various setup options even to asking you which speaker or speakers you want the phone to use. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Sounds good, Alicatt... in LR world you only get SMS in the FFRR I think.
