TPMS performance in hot & cold weather

Well today it got cold in Houston 48F in fact this morning, and I think this had an effect on the tyre pressures... started up and the wee yellow TPMS light came on saying check all the tyres ( Censored just before the school run).... I did and yep they were all a bit low, so pumped them up and all was well..... so I guess the normal temps here make a difference to pressures.... simple physics and dumb me for waiting to be told to check. So TPMS monitoring is influenced by outside temperatures.

But must be paranoid as later today I could swear I could smell petrol in the cabin ?? Brit across the Pond Wink
