Just where the Volvo's used to be... Very Happy Inside the driver door, on a large gray tag that also has inflation info for the various tire sizes.

That's reassuring - the cars affected are all relatively recently built, found that mine was built in April, well before the launch! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

My VIN plate falls into this, looks like I'll be asking the dealer to check it out before the letter arrives, as it's going in next wednesday they may as well check it then.

Basically the recalls cover cars built between mid August and Mid September 2005, the dates of manufacture and the VIN's they are applicable to are given on the recall notices linked from Martin's posting 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I popped into dealer late last night to sort recall inspection - they didnt seem to think would be a problem and will contact me today to book it in. I will also ask about the seatbelt issue now that I am aware there is a potential problem?

Thanks Matt - looks like my seatbelts are OK, but I am in for the gearbox issue. No letter from the dealer yet, though.

Mines an earlier built model..
not sure exactly when, but as it was an ex demo and i got it in Aug if i remember right it was registered in June, so built well before then probably.

Have had a quick look for build date, but found nothing on the drivers door area, where is this exactly located for future issues?

Mine does jog forward a little, but no more then any other auto bmw/merc we have ever owned before, so don't see a problem with mine really.
I use the parking brake every time i stop it anyway, so shouldn't cause me too many concerns.

No letter in the post for me, so presume my car is out of this batch (so far at least anyway!).

kam100, have you checked the front passenger door? It's a large tag, hard to miss if it is where mine is (inside the driver's door, but I am in the US), the manufacture date is near the top left corner of that label.

It isn't marked on mine either Kam, I asked the dealer to find out for me!
I think this is the label Umberto is talking about and it is on the driver's door There is nothing on the passenger door.
