TMC

Does anyone else have issues with TMC? I am tuned to Classic FM but only get 3 or 4 traffic reports in about 30 mins - my BMW would get about two dozen reports within seconds of starting the engine. Am not sure if this is related to the software issues mentioned in the thread about "input in motion".

My dealership when asked about TMC said "What's TMC?" and Land Rover technical support won't speak to me as I am not a dealer.

Cheers,

Stuart

TMC is crap on the RRS - not sure it's a LR problem or a Classic FM problem 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

My TMC had a sea of traffic incidents this morning so I imagine this is a software version issue. I think the TMC on the RRS is good actually. I was going up the M3 this morning and it correctly showed a traffic jam that I hit. 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8, Stornoway Grey

can't be Classic FM - my Beemer works fine - definitely the software in my opinion. One major gripe is that the TMC menu is disabled whilst in motion - this is, in my opinion, is daft - after all you need to see where the traffic jams are from the list!

Does anyone know if we can implement the RRMY08 software/bluetooth head unit into our model so we can uploaded phone books? Is there a specialist company that can do this?

Cheers,

Stuart

(who also trudges the M3 daily and TMC didn't know about a closed motorway last week!)

it's supposed to do that.
But TMC in general is not always up to speed, the one in our old Audi S8 sometimes mucked up too. I wonder though if there's no alternative software for the navi. I mean, it's fairly popular; in all Landrovers and, i think, chryslers aswell.
what was the manufaturer's name again? RRS SC Bonatti Grey

TMC in general is pretty good, my aftermarket Alpine setup in my D2 is streets ahead of the RRS (07MY) in speed and relaibility of operation - the RRS keeps switching to Heart FM!!! Its going in for its first service on Friday so will ask about updating the nav/phone software.... Cheers
