Hi all, am new to the forum. I do enjoy it, as i enjoy my new RRS.
Yes my tow pack was ordered, and delivered, but unfortunately i can't tow anything without the most important part. Absolutely stupid setup and not complete!!!!!!!!

Hi Brownie 59, sorry to hear that ! My people tell me that when you order a "tow pack" with the vehicle order, the tow pack should be complete ready to tow. Thats how I got mine. peterl Maintaining the breed.

PETREL,
TRULY I AM ASTOUNDED AT THE ATTITUDE OF SOME OF THE DEALERS. AFTER SPENDING THE BEST PART OF $120,000 ON A FANTASTIC CAR, THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO THROW IN A TOW BALL.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEALERS OVER SUCH A SMALL THING AS A $150 PIECE OF ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT. A GOODWILL FACTOR IS MISSING SOMEWHERE! DON'T GET ME WRONG, I WILL PAY IF I HAVE TO, BUT IT STINKS!!!!!!!

Hey Brownie 59, if you ordered a tow pack as part of the vehicle spec on order, and the vehicle was delivered as you report (with the key part missing, and can be supplied for additional cost) , then you have every right to be "p...ed off" with the dealer. Why don't you "out the dealer" in this forum. You will note there are alot of "visitors" who maybe looking at a vehicle purchase and wondering which dealers to be wary off. PeterL Mad Mad Maintaining the breed.

So did anyone who paid the $500 for the towpack get the tongue and tow ball for free?

Tow Pack

As part of the deal I had the dealer throw in roof rails, bars, mats and a tow pack. The tow pack came complete with ball - if a dealer in NZ can do I would have thought that one in Oz could have as well - are they the same importer?

i called my dealer today about the missing part and he said to stop by and pick it up. He said he would have to buy it from the spare parts department which may suggest that they don't came a standard with the tow pack.

Anyway as long as I don't have to pay for it I am happy Very Happy RRS TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Hi All,
RRS towpacks-Australia(poss NZ as well)Only. When u order the vehicle with a towpack from the "Factory" you get all the wiring, fuse blocks, hitch assembly & round plugs..But DO NOT get the Tow tongue with it. It IS an extra cost. Some dealers throw this in when the contract is made..If it is on paperwork "TowTongue" then there is nothing to worry about. To purchase the tongue is as said about $150.00
If you order the vehicle & it has to be fitted by the dealer then it is a total cost of approx $1500.00. for the whole lot, wiring, fuse blocks & tow tongue, plugs etc. 01 D2 Bonatti TD5

Hi Tastech,
The hitch is a square version as this is an Australian Design Rule (ADR) & is the same size as the Hayman Reece Hitch.
The Tow hitch is not made by Hayman Reece but will accespt Hayman Reece' tongues. 01 D2 Bonatti TD5
