United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
George Best RIP

I thought he had died overnight going on all the fuss I heard on the radio this morning. Have just heard that he has just departed this world. Another of life's great characters gone. A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

TDv8 HSE - Stornoway Grey with ebony and straight grain walnut wood-a-like interior with towpack, Tasmods. The best car I have ever owned
Now departed - Giverny Green TDv6SE with Aspen and Parchment interior - nearly the best car I have ever owned
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

What will the drinks industry do now??...they've lost one of their great icons....apparently he was also very good with a football Wink

Seriously though it's a shame that doctors hadnt treated him better for his alcohol addiction.....if so he may never had to endure all those operations and undignified end to his 'colourful' life!

I hope he's at peace now Smile

He's probably propping up the Big Bar In the Sky... commenting on the size of the bar-angel's jugs, I would imagine Wink

Sorry if this sounds callous, but he brought it on himself didn't he?

I'm tired of hearing about his 'troubles'. Just cos he was a footballer...

(You may have guessed, I HATE football)

So do I (hate Football that is!) RR, but when he was playing he WAS very very good at it, and I can even remember that far back too! A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

I know he was, don't dispute that, but look what the BBC says about him in the end, just so you don't forget..

"But despite his talent, his love of a champagne and playboy lifestyle degenerated into alcoholism, bankruptcy, a prison sentence for drink-driving and, eventually, his controversial liver transplant. "

Oh yeah, he was no angel but I don't think that was any secret. I hate football too (there's a theme coming out here!) and have no personal fondness for the bloke, but I don't think he was under any misapprehension about the fact the he'd done all this to himself. He was a nightmare to live with too by all accounts - didn't he get caught beating his wife up at one point? Either way, I suppose when someone dies it's more fitting to celebrate the good side of someone than their bad side. Mind you, let's see what happens when someone like Saddam Hussein or Bin Liner dies.. I doubt there'll be a BBC "comedy tribute"...
