England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Laughing Cowey, Thought you were going to report me to the Fashion Police!

For all the ribbing the HST kit gets, I think it looks good. I appreciate it could be deemed a little 'Halfords' but it's only a grille, couple of bumpers a bit of colour-code to the sills................... oh and those hoofing pipes. Although the pipes are just finishers it does growl a little more under accelleration and burble on tick-over more than it did pre-HST, but it is a TDV8!

I just think it makes it look a little different to most. Come on, cut the HST kit some slack boys! Can't we turn our attention to the Khan Edition with the stripe from the bonnet across the top? Whistle TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

Looking at AlanM's picture again, I have to admit.................

.......that I really quite like the HST grile & I am disapointed that I couldn't get one from my dealer.

Maybe I just need help....I dunno Laughing

However that one on flea-bay is more than twice the price I was quoted by my dealer Shocked

So I won't be going down that road Rolling Eyes

HST'ism

I'm on a single-handed mission to convert the good people of www.rrsport.co.uk to HST'ism.......... Wow I sound like a Scienologist!! Rolling Eyes

Rupert is nearly there as he 'quite likes the HST grille', so perhaps I can recruit him as a brother? However I feel that I have my work cut out trying to convert VA, Envoy, Schmoogle and the like........... Perhaps I should just turn up on your doorstep one Saturday afternoon when you're in the middle of something important, and talk AT you about HST'ism.... Laughing

Forget Jedi on the next Census, this is the way forward! Whistle TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

You'll never turn me!!! Shocked

The HST kit is imho one of the worst pieces of OEM kit I've seen in many a year. It looks cheap, ruins the lines of the RRS and what the hell they were thinking of with those exhausts I really don't know. I can't be doing with Kahn kit either and am only too happy to insult Kahn owners whenever I have the chance.

No offence, LRS. Whistle

Indeed I am nearly there Very Happy

Now while I don’t think I’d plumb for the whole HST kit, I do think the grille in isolation could be quite nice.

There are just too many going around (me included) with SC grilles on our Sports, for them to be different anymore. In fact I’d nearly consider going back to the original grille again.

However a HST grille would give you that something different again Thumbs Up

I see the grille linked to above on “Flea-Bay” is sold, however I have a mate of mine bidding on another one at the moment. But I’ll have to wait & see what happens.

Off topic, but it looks like Land Rover is trying to unload about 250 leftover HST bits and pieces here in North America, by cleverly disguising them as part of a "Limited Edition" 2008 S/C: http://rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18110

Note that there has been no Land Rover press release about this Limited Edition Sport here in North America, even though their dealers have all the details on hand already... It kind of reminds me of movie studios here in La La land. When they know their upcoming new movie sucks, they don't screen it in advance to critics because they are afraid bad press is going to keep moviegoers away.

There is now a link to the "2008 Limited Edition" Sport on LR's US website (link on left column): http://www.landroverusa.com/us/en/Vehicles...erview.htm

So, a year later it appears we are getting a toned-down version of your beloved HST here across the pond... Laughing
