Playing in water!

I'm going to go out playing in puddles this evening, lots of streams have broken their banks around the Aylesbury area.

Any pictures of members RRS's in the floods recently?

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi All,

I set out from Milton Keynes at 3pm to head home to Newbury and I got home at 10pm!!!

Had much Fun on theway home, encountered a "lake" which was 3foot deep and the car made it through. Just! it went into extended off road mode by itself, clever car!!!

I was supprised that the Grand Jeep Cherokee made it through as well!

My Pics are on face book, feel free to have a look. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3692...=847210570 _________________

Playing in water is sooooooo much fun, i know i have been through standing water well over the bonnet of my raised 90, but be very careful that you dont exceed he height limit unless your vehicle is prepped properly, even though my 90 is prepped the last time out to play it cost me an engine rebuild Embarassed water got in some how Rolling Eyes some of my Previous cars

I must say that I've has such fun with all this water everywhere! I feel for those effected by flooding but I might enjoy myself when I can. There is a ford in Woking that I checked out on Friday and decided it was a little too deep at 6 foot! The roads in that area were about 2 feet in places - FANTASTIC! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Like you VA i feel sorry for the poor bastards who have had there lives and businesses ruined by the floods, and i looooooove deep water to get yer boots in, but do be careful especially in flooded rivers streams and fords, fords in flood can run very fast and when you put a something the size of a Landrover in the flow of the water it WILL move you sideways, and you can start to float and lose traction Shocked Shocked some of my Previous cars

Very true E - the RRS has had a very nice wash underneath though! I couldn't believe the speed these roads flooded, it was amazing to see fast moving rivers form on roads before your very eyes. It was one of those times when I was glad to own a 4x4 and I didn't get a single negative comment, in fact I had many positive ones especially with the RAI fitted, shame they don't realise it's not a snorkel. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Supply and demand! But it's not just the snorkel, you would need to waterproof the electrics, battery and other areas. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Any one know how much work is involved in waterproofing the RRS?

I took a trip up to pangbourne which is quite flooded and it got me thinking there should be a place you can register your self as a "help" to try and help these people affected. I sure would do it! Just a thought. _________________

Good idea guswyl.... I have no clue what's involved in waterproofing the RRS, but it would probably be prohibitively expensive for the average Joe Very Happy
