I know this is covered in lots of threads but I cant find them...
Spoke to land Rover Thursday and Friday, and to dealer and the response is:
The noise from front suspension is an operational noise from active ride, Land Rover technical are aware of this, but have no plans to rectify or investigate"
Followed by a string of educationals from me, I asked them to record my rejection of the vehicle and refund total cost of vehicle......

The dealer wants the car for a week, kindly offered me a Disco without tow pack while mine is in garage, and want to do some R and D on behalf of Land Rover to find which part is causing the problem, they have done this 5 times already since April delivery, including marking all four wheels when carrying out wheel alignemt as all four tyres are badly worn on outside edge only.

Customer Service at Land Rover is zero, they have the sale of the vehicle, not bothered by the problems they have with them and have little or no interest in resolving them.........

I have refered the dealer service manager and 'Customer Services' to this site, I think the mods should create a thread which we can gather just how many vehicles are suffering from this condition, and form some sort of constructive party to hit Land Rover head on, unfortunately seems to be the only way they will listen and act on complaints.  2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈

The wearing of the tryes on the outside edge only is normal. This occurrs on all of the large sporty 4x4's....porsche, mercedes etc etc. It is not a wheel alignment or tracking problem.....purely the weight of the vehicles as they corner.

As for the clunking noise on the dynamic suspension there are loads of threads on here about it and thus far no permanent solutions. I think RRSJO has already done this. TDV6 - gone

My Supercharged managed 16k on its 1st set of tyres - but they too had badly worn on the outside edge

I had no problems with tracking/vibration - but will say that it was the front tyres that had worn the most, having test driven a few Audi Q7's recently I notice their used ones too suffer from edge wear. ... also the vehicles fitted with the new 21" alloys are apparently getting through a set of rubber in under 10k

Tyre wear does seem to be a problem on the RRS.... in 26k I changed them all TWICE!

Mine wore evenly across the centre 2/3 it was just the outer edges that took the hammering. Its been discussed before as being normal. I asked my Dealer who said it wasn't normal and were quite happy for me to pay for a full wheel alignment cos they couldn't and wouldn't do it or pay for it.
So I had a second independant opinion.....who said it was normal due to the weight. Car drove perfectly so I was advised to leave it alone as it could cause other problems later.

But perhaps yours going that quickly is a little extreme.

Did LR pay for the 4 wheel alignment etc Or did they pack you off to a specialist so that you paid for it  TDV6 - gone

I don't particularly drive my cars in a gentle fashion, so I'm happy to put my hands up and say the regularity of tyre changes was down to me BUT I've had my 535 for nearly 20k now and all the tyres are fine. It gets driven a whole bunch more "enthusiastically" than the RRS and at the last service a couple of weeks ago, there was still 3.5mm all round apparently. I guess the RRS wear rate must be due mainly to the car's weight as you say...

How heavy is a 535? If you drive on minor roads rather than motorways you are never going to get the mileage. My first D3 had 23K on the clockand still on the first set of tyres (although the rears were noisy - Wranglers!) the current one has 24K and the fronts were replaced due to off road damage, not wear; I'm sure they were good for 30K miles. I think the difference is most D3 owners have not been into fast cars, whereas on the whole you guys have and you are used to driving cars not 4x4s.

Yes, I think you're right mate.... my 535d does 90% motorway, 10% country lanes/town and the kerb weight is apparently 1735kg so doesn't appear to chew tyres up particularly, despite it's monstrous torque... you'd think the rears would wear fairly quickly

It amazes me how the rears last on many cars, my mates E55 merc has done 30K on a set of rears I believe 25mpg too ( I hate him )

Is your mate 94 years old? How in the name of satan has he managed that?

Motorway driving in the main, he isn't frightened of giving it a good caning though. Pees me off big time as I get about 28mpg from the D3

simple1 I had the same problem with my SC wearing badly on the outside edge, wasn't happy asked my dealer to check this no joy. Went to another dealer he found the the front a rear tore were out and that my active roll bar was faulty. everything has been done and I have 4 new tyres under warranty.

I was complaining to my dealer about the wear at 4k asking to swap the tyres etc now at 15k I have had a full set 0f 4. So don't stop there get it checked again even if you have to go to another dealer. good luck.

Wheel alignment was covered by LR and done inhouse by the dealer who seems to have state of the art equipment. The tyres were to be replaced also but eventually LR kicked on this but the dealer stepped upto the plate and gave me a letter stating that they will cover the cost of new tyres at any point.
My car is certainll not driven slowly, but never the less, 2.7 tonnes should not wipe out four tyres in 4K miles.
There is also a distinct burnt/wear mark where the tyre wall meets the tread and this is getting darker. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
