Nokia 6100

I have just swapped my Nokia 6230 for a Nokoa 6100 and the phone works better with the phone system. It used the same cradle and ALL the functions can be used including the dashboard on/off button. I bought the 6100 for under £30.00 from ebay and considering the problem I had with the 6230 I'm happy. My advise is to get the cradle, get the 6100 and a dual sim card from your service provider and all systems are go! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I can use the dash on off function though with my 6230, so how is the 6100 better?

Genuinely interested. L319 D4 HSE

According to the Landrover approved phone list this function isn't available on the 6230 using software v 5.35 which my phone was using. The on/off didn't work on my old 6230. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I decided to stick with bluetooth on my 6230i I can answer/end calls using the on/off button. Also able to use all functions using the voice recognition system.
The only downside is not having the phone charged at the same time. But I dont go on long journeys and the battery last anyway ( even with bluetooth switched on permanently )

You could always try taking your phone to a Nokia Service Centre, this may be your nearest Carphone Warehouse? they can then do a software update if applicable?

I wonder if they can do a software downgrade? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
