"Long" term parking

In the future, because of my job, I will have to park my RRS for 2-4 weeks at the time.

Will the battery hold for that time, any idea about the max time it will hold?

Should I disconnect the battery? will that give any problem?

Thanks.

Flydive, because of my job my RRS sits for 2-3 months at a time. My father gives it a run about monthly, 32miles round trip to town and that seems to be keeping it's battery in fine health. Disconnecting the battery is not necessary, but do leave it with the suspension in access mode. The only thing to be aware of is that the parking brake may seize on, I have had this a couple of times, so park the car where you are going to be able to give it a good revving in drive to free the brake, not somewhere where you need to to do lots of wheel twirling to get out of! This is a real pain because the brake will then howl for a few days every time you apply it after you get home. There is nothing you can do about it as the EPB automatically engages itself after about 10 inutes of the car being parked up.

If you think that there is any chance that your alarm might go off while it is parked (you live near an airport or a busy road) and the car might get buffeted by passing traffic then lock it by giving 2 presses of the lock button on the fob instead of one - the car will then only set the perimetric sensor and not the volumetric part of the system, the immobiliser will still do it's job. If like me you have to park your car outside then you can buy small solar powered battery chargers that trickle charge the battery via the cigarette lighter socket and sit on top of the dash in the sunshine 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

In my opinion, you don’t have to disconnect just for 1 month parking period. Should be OK! As you can see, I am living between Mexico and Spain.
When I leave my car for 2 to 4 months, I use to disconnect the ground black cable from the battery, and over inflate the tires, near to the full load capacity. Yuri

i sometimes leave mine for a month in the summer while using other cars, and it never loses its charge, i never use the EPB, i dont see the point when its in park, that will save it from seizing, as Tim said makes sure its in access mode Thumbs Up some of my Previous cars

I'm sure mine used to come on automatically after a while if I didn't engage it too.... maybe it was an early car trait. How old was your TDV6 Envoy?
