Hello folks

Just arriving in Range Rover world - been a Discovery owner for a long while (D2/D3 & D4), and the impending arrival of D5 has been timed badly with when I need to change. The Germans nearly tempted me away, but I thought I'd give a RRS a go.

A very impressive thing to drive and makes my D4 feel very cumbersome by comparison.

Sure I may stop in to grab a few useful hints on how to make the most of the new chariot.

Would be interesting to hear what kind of real world mpg the 16MY 3ltr diesel is giving.

New owner

Hi all, my girlfriend has just purchased a MY10 RRS, 3.0HSE.
She's not really interested in it, and as I'll be the regular driver, (yay) just thought I'd pop in and say hi

RRS in Santorini black with ivory leather

Hi all,

Just bought a MY10 RRS in Santorini black with ivory leather. It's technically for the missus as my car is a 635d convertible (in the same colour combination), but I'm sure I'll drive it a bit.

Just wanted to say thank you to all contributors for a very informative site which helped me no end when looking around.

Anyway, bonjour!! EezerGeez

Hi All,

Another newbie. A long background with many many different cars, from sports to family and now here with combination of both. Bought a First Edition SC, very low miler and great history.

This place has so much info and many helpful people and it's good to see how the forum communities differ between marques. Looking forward to reading/contributing as the ownership progresses.

Alex.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Good day all.

Just joined and await collection of my very first RR Sport in the next few days. This site has been a very useful source of information over the last few weeks as I made my decision to finally buy a car I've always wanted. I'll post some pictures once she arrives (and I've added the ancillary parts I've already bought before I've got her) and will no doubt have some burning questions in the future.

Cheers

Pete

Tail gate / boot closing

Hi everybody

I just found this site and already it has been really useful. I just bought a 2010 Facelift RRS 3.0 TDV6 HSE and was surprised how hard I had to close the upper tail gate. With both portions open together, closing is smooth and assisted. Should it be the same for the upper portion on its own or should I be slamming it. Hope to hear back soon.

Thought all facelift models had a single piece back door, Question the split doors should however work smoothly and there should be no need to slam them. Lot of Landcruisers now sold
Audi TT 240 Sport now sold for.
RRS 2.7 HSE Now sold for.
RRS Autoibiography 2012

That was with the 2012 model facelift. First registered on a 61 plate. The 2009 facelift model still had the 2 piece tailgate.
Welcome to all the new members. Thumbs Up

Hi Ady555

Thank you for clarifying that. So with what you and Frax are saying I should just be able to push the upper tail gate / boot door gently against the housing and the car should them power close it and secure it in place

IIRC the glass section needs a bit of a slam to shut it. Same with tailgate. I think it has an electric switch, but still needs force to close it. It isn't a soft close tailgate.
