There certainly seem to have been a lot of spam/commercial postings and really weird user names being registered recently too - Freel2 has been get spammed a lot 2 as has another LR Forum that I'm a moderator on 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

its pretty standard Tim - in my experience you have two choices when running a forum - go bolt and braces with security which will stop all spam posts etc or maintain the site with good moderators as in rrsports case. I ran a bolt and braces version for myTreg.com for about 3 months, however had to drop it as it caused too many issues for new members and even current members.

One of the the most effective ways of reducing the spammers is to report the isp or domain host - this will blacklist the server for a period of time and will kick the host or isp into blocking future spammers from using their servers - it does work, however its an ongoing process

Half the Tesco car park is flooded here and it is still rising (brook next to the store)
Kids school came within half an inch of being flooded on Friday although that was due to a cowboy drain firm
