Clarkson - Sunday times article

Has anyone read the Driving section of the Sunday times today (13th Nov) - he is gently having a dig at RRS drivers in the Saab review,... any idea why ? I thought he rated the car (as per the escaping Challenger tank) , also in TOP Gear magazine survey it does quite well (4 out 5 stars)...

Why not go to the source? http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,12529-1868180,00.html Uh, what dig? A vehicle's rating and the market demographic's "cockometer" are two different things. Smile

Typical inconsistent Clarkson, but then he makes this point about himself in the article. As long as you take him at face value, I think he's harmless enough...

Clarkson a prat. He reviewed the M3 with SMG and slagged it silly, then in one of his videos he drove an M3 with SMG and all of a sudden its the best gearbox in the world. I think his mouth often works before his brain is in gear!

Same with his GT40 that he slagged off recently............. Ford is crap, Ford cannot get the hitech bits right etc and then it turns out the bit causing the problems isn't original fit equipment but an aftermarket fitted satellite tracker and alarm system required to get insurance for the car.................... A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Tata TDv8 HSE - Stornoway/ebony and straight grain walnut with towpack, Tasmods and an HST grille. Coming soon LEDs in the headlights
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

So he doesn't like the Sport now then?
he was loving it when that tank was chasing him! Smile Shame it was not loaded with real shells. It would have meant the end of a Sport Sad but got rid of him Smile haha

The Clarksons run a Volvo XC90 as their family car.............................. they used to have a Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon (the biggest Land Cruiser), I suppose of the 3 presenters of TG it looks better if 1 of the 3 doesn't run a Land Rover as both May and Hammond have Landies in their garages. Tiff Niddell has also become a Range Rover convert in the last year. A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.
