The LR kit uses the iPod screen but you can forward tracks and adjust the volume from the steering wheel. It also charges it, but you certainly have to remove the iPod if you're not in the car. It is situated just to the right of the steering wheel. .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

The alternatives are few, stuff such as HK's drive + play looks a bit more elegant perhaps, but you will still have another monitor somewhere to allow for iPod navigation. The long promised Nav-TV interface that was supposedly going to allow iPod navigation via the radio LCD or satnav monitor never materialized.

I thought that Alpine KCE-425i module plus the LR interface fit the bill. With this combo supposedly you have Ipod navigation through the Navi screen of your RRS.

I havent had one fitted yet as i've got my wedding in September and have enough to pay for! But its on the cards.

You have to use the remote control, i'm not sure it works as a 'touch screen' as I originally thought WINNER - 2009 Best in Class Range Rover Sport Award

If you like cheap, and don't mind the fact it doesn't charge the latest ipods, then the original HK Drive + Play is the equivalent of 5 gallons of fuel. No association with seller; just a satisfied customer.

Hi Guy's,

Has anyone bought the KCE-425i yet?
