The only "flat spot" I have noticed is how the TDv8 "flatens" everything. I swear this mutha would make a drive up a 1 in 2 cliff face feel like driving through Holland. Its got so much torque it just never acknowledges hills are there at all Thumbs Up RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Just struggled to get over a one inch lip in mine never mind flat spot Mad Not sure what has happened but under acceleration all the lights came on and the bloody thing now wont go over 30mph (it takes about a minute to get there to Mad ) We managed to limp home but the car will have to go into the garage in the morning.

Has anyone an idea whats gone wrong and how long it might take to rectify Question

Reset the system by locking, unlocking, locking & unlocking the car with the key fob. That should sort it out temporarily but them get it booked in for a check. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Tony, pains me to say it but I've had the same fault recently. Seems to come when the car is idling after a long run and when it's hot. The turn off and reset seems to sort it out. I think it may be due to a part overheating.

Gaydon, I think we have a problem...

Sudden loss of power sounds like one of the turbo hoses might have come adrift - you don't recall hearing a high pitched and very short whistle just before this happened do you? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

No can't remember any noises.

LR Assist rang this afternoon to say that the dealer can't find anything wrong with it Confused I have had to explain step by step what went wrong and they are going to do different tests in the morning.

I had a feeling this might happen because last night in reverse with my foot pressing a hole in the floor the car could not get over a 1 inch lip of pavement yet this morning the recovery truck driver drove it straight onto the back of his truck Shocked Somebody mentioned about locking and reopening the doors would re-set the system maybe that happened this morning Question .

Had a problem like this on "er in doors" merc. It was an air mass sensor valve problem.

If you put your foot down it crept up to 30mph and stayed there. It would suddenly clear for no reason??

It just went away (luckily)
