Exhaust smoke

I think I’ve got this right in my head but want to sound it out incase I have missed something.

My new to me 2015 RRS 3.0 SDV6 is giving a bit of smoke out of the exhaust on heavy acceleration, and a little on tickover.

Its a grey/black colour and smells of fuel rather than burning oil.

Car runs absolutely fine and has plenty of power still, I’ve done probably 200 miles towing in the past week and it’s not missed a beat.

I’m guessing I have an air leak from somewhere? The car had just had a cambelt fitted prior to me purchasing it, oil level hasn’t dropped in 700 miles and the coolant has stayed the same.

I had the diesel smell out the exhaust for years on my D4 with the 3.0SDV6 engine so I’m not particularly worried, just curious/embarassed.

I plan on swapping the oil out (I know oil would be blue if it was burning and I’d be losing some off the gauge) as I noticed on my D4 that the kind of oil it had in it affected the smoke out the rear. 2004 D3 HSE TDV6

Could be overfueling or a boost leak, I would give the Maf and Maf sensors a clean with some non residue leaving electric contact cleaner, check for any splits in boost hoses and put some forte diesel system cleaner in it to give the injectors a clean.
Has it been remapped as some remaps can cause smoke on acceleration?

I’m not sure about a remap, nothing in the paperwork I got for it and it’s the only one I’ve driven so it’s hard to tell? 2004 D3 HSE TDV6

As mentioned above, I'd be inclined to look for an air leak somewhere. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
