Pandora Range Rover Edition and Autowatch Ghost 2

Hi, has anyone got any experience of either of these systems? The Pandora is over 3 times the price of a Ghost, but is obviously very comprehensive. Is it worth the investment? thanks

Yes. with either fitted it becomes pretty much impossible to carry out a drive away theft. Panadora offers more customising, fyi the base model padora is more or less the same price as a ghost system.

Cannot speak for the other brand. However I have the Ghost system fitted.
Took me a couple of months to get used to having to press a sequence of buttons to disarm the car.
Worth it for me, as a peace of mind.
Fitting takes around two hours, guy came to my house. Very efficient and knows his way around these motors.

Thanks for the feedback both. I am struggling to find anyone that has had the range rover edition fitted to get an opinion on that one. Do these systems effect manufacture warranty do you know?

Hi,

I have a GHOST fitted to my new D300 AB.

Fitted in a couple of hours, really neat job and after the loom was re-taped, you can’t find it.

Easy to use either with the switch “PIN” or using the App paired to your phone.

My dealer is aware it’s fitted.

I used www.trackershop-UK.co.uk

They sometimes have a 5% off promotion so that’s £475 fitted with no subscription afterwards.

I was going to get a Ghost II after @Scrumps positive experience and actually had it booked for installation.

I then checked with dealer and JLR and official line was it could invalidate warranty! I guess it would only be an issue if you had any electrical faults but there was debate about it potentially interfering with software updates. A rep from Ghost (Tracker Shop) did reply that he doubted that was the case.

In the end I decided against it!

I’ve had Ghosts on my last 5 Range Rovers… all excellent and never a problem with the dealer during servicing.. the only time I had an electrical issue on one of my earlier cars JLR asked for the Ghost to be temporarily removed/disconnected to make sure it wasn’t causing the issue…but they were happy to continue with the warranty work…
