Milage check on a 2yr old motor...

Evening all.

Theres a 2yr old P400e I'm interested in, just over 20k on the clock - one owner from new.

It's not had a service, so it's overdue 2weeks (by age)... not yet overdue on milage.

I've heard that other area's of the car record milage, other than the instument cluster... is there a way of checking??

Thanks. Thumbs Up

Hi,

I believe one of the ECU’s not only records the mileage but also the mileage in each mode and/or gear ratio (High/Low).

Servicing is “ whichever comes first”. - 24months or 21,000 mls - it’s not a juggling act.

Hi,

Why not ask your local dealer?

I've been with my dealer since 1998, just bought our 12th LR from them.

They look after us quite well!

Let a JLR workshop near a car? No thank you! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Why would you be suspicious ..sounds about right for a UK car and 2 years. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

2yo and 20k looks ok. The fact that it isn't serviced isn't an issue, really. It's due now so either get it done by them before you buy or use the lack of the required service to reduce the asking price and then take it to your preferred LR specialist. I was suspicious because the seat bolster had a little extra wear than I would expect... that said, so has the seat bolster on my current daily (despite low miles/20 reg) - as I'm carrying too much timber!! Rolling with laughter

It was a lease car going through auction, was obviously on 2ry lease and contract holder had backed it pretty much bang on service due. Milage blockers are a problem.

Too much IMO.

Hammer was just over £42k IIRC... there would be fees on top.

CAP retail price advised on the info was £43k so I think somebody got carried away.
