rear propshaft

hi guys,
got my 2005 RRS 2.7 around a month ago, shortly after while driving i noticed a bit of a tapping noise (could only hear this with the windows down though, nothing in the cabin)
Found the issue to be a broken centre bearing on the rear prop shaft, thought id give a new centre bearing a try, got it on last night and the car demolished the new bearing in less than a minute.
New propshaft is being delivered tomorrow so until then the car is off the road, do we think the new propshaft should solve it or is there another common issue with these that im missing? just thought id give the new bearing a try first (which obviously didnt work)
many thanks

It’s a well documented thing that there is no point replacing the centre bearing. Buy a new gkn or genuine one only as the cheap ones are known to fail as well!

Great, thanks for your reply. Just praying the new propshaft solves the problem!
