Removal of Dashboard Upper Panel to Replace (Cracked)

Afternoon all, hope your all having a pleasant holiday weekend,

As title ladies and gents, is removal/replacement of the dash/windscreen panel easy, has anyone done it, is there a walkthrough of steps required or a video anywhere of it being done?
Got the dreaded cracks appearing around the passenger airbag area, bloody crap material used by JLR can't stand up to the heat i guess Sad

Just for clarity it's the part in the photo

Thanks in advance for any replies 2006 L320 4.2 Supercharged

I have done one in a facelift car, not to difficult but there are a lot of screws etc. to remove and plugs to disconnect. Never found a video of it being done so had to work it out as we went along.

Cheers
Col

Yeah, just take it nice and slow, might be worth taking a few pictures as you go along just for reference if needed. If you have the electric steering column make sure you extend and lower it before disconnecting the battery to give your self extra room, don't ask me how I know. Rolling with laughter

Cheers

That’s different, I’d looked at the carpet style one’s interested to see how it looks? Also looked at the self adhesive faux leather stitching available from PRC.

I looked at the carpet style ones but i think it would look naff....
Wondering how the stitching strips would cover the cracks, what were you planning to do with them?? 2006 L320 4.2 Supercharged

I covered mine with a stitched faux leather self-adhesive made-to-measure from Ali Express.
Pleased with the result for less than €40 for my 2005, but I appreciate some might want a more pro' job.
