Cruise control fault

This is my first post so go easy on me.
I have a RRS 2010 auto diesel which has a problem with its cruise control.
when engaging the cruise control the car accelerates in speed from 40mph (selected) to over 70mph.
If the - button is pressed the speed increases.
the car has been into the LR dealership to have new hand brake mechanism fitted on both rear wheels and the CC fault has appeared since this this work was carried out.
All speed info on dash read as would be expected eg set speed would read 40mpg selected
No warning or fault lights appear

It is already booked in. I was just questioning wether the cruise control takes a speed input from the same position as the abs sensor.

Sounds like the right are of the car where LR were working. I will pass this on for them to check.Thanks
