Any pictures of your new boots?. I've never seen a swing away spare on a RRS. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

A D3 swing away will fit but a swing away on a RRS looks disgusting. Try deflating the spare and carrying a air compressor - what storing in the cargo area? Plenty of options which are better than a swing away. 07MY RRS TDV6

What wheels / tyres are you running that you can't fit the spare in? With larger combinations, it's usually necessary to feed the spare in in a certain way - I have to do that with the 255/55/19 on mine, for example. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I have 265/60R18s which are 30.6" and they fit no issues at all with room to spare - your 32"wheels and tyres should fit if deflated. 07MY RRS TDV6 Arctic Frost Aspen Interior |

Do you get rubbing when lock is applied? And what tyre have you fitted? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I did have 265\60R18 Bridgestone dueler A/T 697 fitted and they fitted in the spare wheel spot under the car. Very occasionally rubbed when turned tight and suspension well compressed (rock crawling). Pete

To be honest these are the standard defender tyres which for what landing I do I have found the traction control and road tyres fine maybe when these have worn down I might put something more aggressive on it’s all about the extra inch of ground clearance that matters |

If you can get away with a more road-biased tyre then may as well go with that. It'll give you a nicer drive compared to mud-pluggers that's for sure. |
