There are no round S video connectors. (On any year in fact )

Yet the RSE connects with an S-Video plug.
But I stand corrected: it does not output the S-Video signal. Instead it uses the S-video-like plug on the RSE side to output composite video on pins 3 and 4 which are terminated at the front display in the proprietary LR plug you've pictured. Regards etc.,
