Parking brake maintenance mode

Hi I'm a bit stuck. I've managed to get the park brake into service mode to change my pads but can't get it back into operation mode again. I've tried YouTube but there's so many variations can't get the sequence correct. Anyone help me please?

I tried that but can't remove it. I wasn't quite sure how I managed to activate it that's the problem.
I'm trying :
Ignition on but engine off.
Full accelerator and pulling up park brake then ignition off-on-off-on then hold.

Pretty sure that's the opposite of how I got out to work in the first place.

Wondered if someone could try on their car for me? Even dealer couldn't help me (or didn't want to).

Just did my rear brakes and struggled to get the handbrake out of maintenance mode, remembered this post and hey presto, all done. The videos don’t say to change the way you move the handbrake lever.

It was the rimmer bros video I watched for the info.

I found the best tool for getting the calliper pushed back was one of the multi rewind tools as you can’t just get a large wrench or g clamp on without risking damage to the plastic housing.
