MY20.5 Rear View Mirror change

I plan to change my RVM for a version with Homelink - its teh later rimless version.
I have the replacement but before I change it do these units create any codes when they are disconnected ?
As far as I can see there is just a power and earth and them 3 more connections - I assume for dimming the door mirrors.
