Phone Cradles

Is there only one phone cradle for PTI?

I've looked through this site and LR's approved list but only see reference to a Nokia one.

Surely it's a generic system and we can use other cradles for our phones......?!? 2022 P440e AB

The PTI system in our cars is designed by Nokia... So you draw your own conclusions. Laughing

They had 3 or 4 cradles supporting very few handsets (99% of them Nokias) from the very beginning, and they have been retiring some since, so I am not surprised to see only one of them still around. Bluetooth is the only way to go, unfortunately with the known limitations of our system.

I understand that they follow some sort of "standard" therefore the cradles for other phones/other vehicles may connect to the harness connector. The cradle acts as an adaptor from the non-standard phones to the standard wiring loom. Look out for Jaguar cradles and BMW ones . 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit
