United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
retro-fitting a sunroof

Hello chaps.

Just done a great deal on a sparkly year-old S/C, with only 2k on the clock.. reckon I might keep it, knock the TDV8 idea on the head, and spend the (substantial) saving on Optimax over the next few years! is this sensible??

Now, the only problem is, this S/C has no sunroof, and Mrs Nod would like one. Does anyone know whether it's possible to retro-fit an electric sunroof, and if so who do I need to be talking to? would the dealer be able to help?

Cheers

If it's even possible, I expect the dealer bodyshop would quote an insanely expensive price to do it. Either way it's not going to be a cheap thing to do..... Just tell Mrs Noddy to open her window!

marvellous.. she will be pleased, thanks chaps!

Yes I did suggest using the electric "vertical sunroof" attached to her door but it just won't do.. I nearly suggested that I take left-hand corners with the motor on its doorhandles to give her a better look at the sky, but remembered what my dad taught me about holes - when you're in one, put your spade away, son...

£850 to fit at the factory.... doesn't include bodyshop labour at £100ph to retrofit it! If it's worth £899 to please the wife, go ahead and do it! Thumbs Up

Autoroofs UK in Leicester.. only up the road from the mother-in-law so I think they'll be getting the job. They will fit a new headlining to be able to add a blind, and everything should be the same as the factory roof.. in fact, I wonder if Webasto supply the LR OEM parts..? Will let you know how it goes.

And Shmoogle - you're so right, this will be her xmas pressie.. as a special treat I'll let her drive the car! Laughing RRS Supercharged
