United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Rear suspension clonks

Hi all,
I have a 2008 RRS HSE which appears to have ACE (extra reservoir under the bonnet).

I'm getting a bit of clonking on body roll.

I've noticed the ACE reservoir is low (below min) and the fluid is pretty dark but the noise immediately makes me think bushing.

Is it possible that low ACE fluid results in the noise or is it more likely to be the bushes?

Thanks.

If the fluid is that low I would be checking for leaks,, top it up and keep an eye on it. If it is ok then start looking at suspension bushes, drop links and tie bars etc. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Thanks. Yes, I think it's possible it's a leak but by the state of the fluid, I've no idea when it was last serviced/changed.

Sounds like it's time to get it on some stands and start having a good look around.
