Help! Loud tapping noise following timing belt change

Hi All,

Just had a timing belt change on my RRS 2011 3ltr as well as a water pump & service. Main dealer - Guy Salmon UK

The day after i got it back a loud tapping/knocking noise started when starting it up and goes on for a while - TBH I do not want to drive it until resolved.

I did notice a small patch of oil on drive.

Waiting for a call back from them tomorrow.

Any ideas?

Does not sound good> maybe the garage made a mistake and they did not install the cambelt properly. The engine might be out of timing...which could cause severe damage. Do not run it! Have it towed RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux

Ok, so took back to G-Salmon and it was the fan knocking on the housing - the fan blade is slightly cracked and has wobble, they said they must of done something when removing to do the belts!

Anyhow.... going to swap out free of charge next week
