Well we could organise another RRS one. Would need a few cars with winches though.

Can we gatecrash? You could do with a touch of class! This will give you a taste of what to expect. Those that don't like mud on their cars don't click (vids c/o NoDo$h)!

Good to see Kaine & VA out there getting muddy with the Southern (& everywhere else) Pikeys! VA only gave me "the bird" once when I pointed out that the scratches in his bumper would T-Cut out! Unfortunately I missed VA "loosing momentum" but it was done in style. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Also good to meet a few of the faces at the Chinese Scoff Palace, though there were far more faces than muddy cars in the car park!

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Is no one yet tempted to buy a full on off roader Question

Been trying (not very hard) to tempt one of you to buy a Defender with full off road preparation (front & rear winches, ARB diff lock, snorkel, gps, side sills and bash plates, full roll cage, simex jungle trekkers, CB, spots, etc etc etc). Professional stuff as work done by Devon 4x4 and Maddison Offroad. 300tdi, M Reg, Hardback, Coniston Green. You know it makes sense !

Vehicle is a bit neglected and needs some TLC, but will be a top class offroader with little effort. She won a number of top places in offroad events including The Bulldog and Muddy Truckers and Ae Forest challenges in her time.

Price about £5,000 which is a complete "steal".

Call me on 07774 499589 if interested........ RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

VA got further than the Def110 which managed to bury itself and had to be towed out backwards - considering hardly any of the D3's had a go at it at all, VA deserves a whole load of respect IMO Bow down

I'm sorry but that is neither true nor fair. I was in the first group of five D3's who did this bomb-hole led by Gareth. ALL FIVE D3s did this area before Mr Annoyed and yourself came along. He was mightily impressive and we applauded and cheered as he flew into the first mudbath, losing his numberplate in the process. He then doubled back and had a go at the really deep bomb-hole where he got well and truly stuck and was towed out by Chris Tyler's D3. Anyway more applause from the D3 boys for trying. Honestly. Kudos to you guys for getting your RRSports into the thick of it.

However it must be remembered that it took a long time to get Mr Annoyed out of the hole, making it unnavailable for other participants to have a go. By the time he got out most of the D3 guys had parked up and were enjoying the show. Then the Defender got stuck, again occupying the mud hole for a long period.

In summary to say that hardly anyone from the D3 contingent tried this area is rather misleading.

best regards
Rob Gilmore

But gilmorr, one of the primary purposes of this forum is to spread disinformation about the D3!! Wink

Seriously though - I'm sure Kaine didn't mean to be disparaging at all! Very Happy

I would definately encourage RRS drivers to get jiggy in the mud'n'stuff. But let's not chuck mud at each other. After all the RRS is a D3 under the party frock, with less seats, and less bootspace, but costing more...

I'll stop now.

Hugs!

I have photos showing he lost his number plate in the large bomb hole Confused

in addition earlier a D3 in our group had to pull another D3 out from the same section - this also delayed us from having a go Wink

I have a huge amount of respect to everyone going offroad - especially to the guys doing it all the time - I never meant for a second to be disparaging at all from these comments

welcome to the forum Thumbs Up
